When answering John`s question about whether He was the Christ, why did Jesus point out the results of his ministry rather than just saying yes or no?

Jesus knows that John knows all the features of the messiah as prophesied earlier by all the prophets who came before him and Jesus assured John of the fulfilment of all the prophesied happenings that will be done by only the Messiah which Jesus did and the messages of the miracles is all over the Judea, samaria, and many other places.

Why do only some choose to accept Jesus and others oppose Him and His followers?

The world is full of evil people who think of themselves so much that they don`t find space to accommodate Jesus teaching through the disciples and the christians. The teaching of Jesus are so challenging to the way we do things in this world that we have to oppose the teaching so that we force in our own way of living.

What types of people are suited to be laborers in the harvest for Jesus?

The type of people suited to be laborers for the Harvest are those who understand the teaching of Jesus and would harvest all the rich and poor harvest and bring them together for the Kingdom of God.
