Jesus became very popular. People came to see Him from all over for all kinds of reasons. Can you list some reasons why the crowds could be following Him?

The crowds followed him to see what they hear from others, the crowd followed Jesus because the members of the crowds needed to be healed of their various diseases. The crowd followed him because they wanted to proof that Jesus is the son of man as he performed miracles. Some have to be following because their friends might have followed.

In your own words, write down what the phrase, good news of God means?

The Good News of God is that, God himself has decided to bring salvation to the world through his own son Jesus Christ to make those who did not believe, those who don`t believe and those who will not believe after Jesus to be faithful to him and he welcomes them to his Kingdom.

Why did the multitude want Barabbas released rather than Jesus?

`Salvation at the last minute.` Jesus knew very well it is the right thing to happen to him at the right time did not talk with weakness to defend himself from death against the multitude and Barabas the Thief. Jesus wanted to give Barabas a chance to live by keeping quiet and not saying both of us should die the same death though he knows Barabas is a criminal he wanted him to have time to repent and be saved too. The multitude wanted Barabas released because the elders and the chief priests told them that Jesus blasphemed by calling himself the Christ.
