Since Jesus knew that He was to be crucified, why did He not just avoid trouble by leaving town? Jesus doing so would not serve the mission of God who sent him.
God knew in the beginning and at the end what would happen to the son and the son was there in the beginning as it is said in the Bible by the son himself that he existed during the creation and the fact that he would come down to die for our sins ''a great mystery'' was not news to the SON.

How will we recognize Jesus when He comes again? This is the sign that will show me Jesus is coming, But immediately after the oppression of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken; and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. Then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.
