Recall Jesus` own teachings (Matt 5:11), "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven." Jesus was aware that he is going to be mocked so when it happened it didnt bother him because he knew he was doing it for us because he loved us so much that he could pay for our sins.

When Peter realised he had denied knowing Jesus, why did he cry? He cried because jesus has already told him before that he is going to deny him.

Why did Jesus answer their question with a question? Why didn`t he just say that his authority came from God? Beacuse Jesus was aware that they know that his autority is from God.
