Why was the crowd so intent on having Jesus crucified? The religious leaders feared Jesus. He was a threat to the power they held over the people.It was also the Preparation day of the Passover and they wanted Him before the Passover. Also their will be a lot of Jews in Jerusalem to attend the Passover and they feared that will be an uprising and they will loose control over the people and they will follow Jesus
