Why were the chief priests and scribes angry, what was it that Jesus said?

They were ungry because the parable was refering to them.

The stone which the builders rejected,the same was made the chief cornerstone. Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken and be crashed .Mean that whoever ignore the good news ( that is rejectinng him) will not see salvation but perishing.
