Why did Jesus` penalty for sin need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? Jesus had to suffer physical and emotion pain as it was the one way of carrying the sin of mankind which could have separated GOD from mankind.The moment Jesus died , meant that our our sins ended there and there is no separation between us from GOD.
