What was Mary feeling right before Jesus“ birth? Note: She is described here as an unwed pregnant woman, who was forced to travel away from her family, only to deliver her baby in a barn?
I think she was somehow feeling blessed and lucky as she was about to bring the saviour into the world. She also believed that God was going to fulfill His promise that the messiah was going to be born through her.

The angel of the Lord had spoken to her lately, so l think she had a feeling of doing God's work to bring Jesus on earth to save us sinners.

What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you?

I have learnt that Jesus lived a life beyond all odds. Image the one sent by God with supernatural position to overcome the world, could descend so low to even allow even the weak disciples, like Judas Escariot could betray Him, but maintained the love for him. The Simon Peter of the time could deny him three times even after being warned that he would do that, but turns around to love and leave him the leader of the rest of the disciples. Despite being aware of His Lordship at the age of twelve could be obedient to His earthly parents and continued to be submissive indeed. Truly, he came as a master for us all.
