Why is it signficant that Jesus fulfilled what was predicted hundreds of years before? Note: Mark refers to the old Scriptures from the Prophet Isaiah (chapter 53) "He poured out his soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And he bore the sins of many." Isaiah 53 contains many more matches to events in Jesus` life.

What was Jesus feeling and thinking while he was mocked and humiliated in front of others? Recall Jesus` own teachings (Matt 5:11), "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven." He felt blesssed cause these things must happened according to the scriptures (Mat 5:11), and the reward will be great in heaven.
