Consider that the Passover was a Jewish festival that remembered when a plague of death "passed over" the home of those Jewish people who marked their doors with blood from a lamb. Jews remembered this day with a feast of unleavened bread. The wine which was his blood was signifying what he was about to do. He was going to shed his blood so that our sins can be forgiven. This was a new covernant because in the old one people had to sacrifice animals and be good so that their sins could be forgiven. With the new covernant all we had to do is believe that Jesus is the son of God and that he died for us all we need to do is repent and our sins would be forgiven because of the blood he shed on the cross.

THE NEW COVENEANT IS THAT JESUS BLOOD WAS SHED FOR ALL OF US, THAT BELIVE IN HIM, NOT ONLY THE JEWS.HIS BLOOD STOP SATAN TO TUCH US THE SAME WAY THAT IT WERE FOR THE JEWS IN EGYPT.
