What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you? I didn't know that Passover was celebrating the deliverance of Jewish people form slavery in Egypt. Also that it was celebrated in Jerusalem because it was a HolyCity, thus why Jesus and his disciples travelled to Jerusalem for their last supper. Also that there were many Jews in Jerusalem at the time of Jesus's arrest, trial and crucifixion because they were celebrating the passover in the holy city.

Jesus was born about 2000 years ago, although there were many amazing happenings in his childhood and in his youth, he started his public life only when he was 30, which is amazing since he had enough knowledge and maturity to start before, but he prefered to wait for the right time showing how perfect he was. Because he claimed to be the Saviour, the Son of God and God Himself many enemies arised and despite the fact he had proved with words and actions that he was the Messiah, he was killed on a cross like a criminal, but He changed the history of the world because He returned from the dead showinng that He was really the Saviour and the Messiah the people had been waiting for, and making in this way many followers all over the world who which pass his message of Love, faith and hope in God and in our neigbor for us to take part in the His Father's Kingdom.
