5712 entries for this category: Why didn`t the elders want the true story of Jesus` resurrection to get out? If the true story had come out it would have been a disaster. The people would have known that surely they did spill innocent blood. They would have also believed everything that Jesus said and that surely he might have been the son of God. Worse off the elders would have been ridiculed by the people as truely being hypocrites and not believed anything they said or taught. They would have lost their popularity and people would have stopped respecting them and possibly attempted to kill them. They didn't want the embarassment of being proven wrong by the person they lead people to believe that was a deceiver when in actual fact they were the deceivers.

Why is the Resurrection of Jesus a source of hope for people, even today? The basis of our faith is that we believe in Jesus as the son of God who was sent to die on the cross so that our sins might be forgiven. His resurrection proved that he concurred sin and death and that we have eternal life through that. Even when our bodies die our spirits live on in heaven. If Jesus never resurrected our sins would not have been forgiven and our faith in the true living Jesus would not be true and no afterlife. In other words our faith will be meaningless. We live now because we believe that since Jesus beat death we will enjoy eternity with him.

Why didn`t the elders want the true story of Jesus` resurrection to get out? It would have been desaster 4 them A disgrace It would have proof that the blood they shed was ennocent Though they knew He was the messiah they did not want to admit imagine how it would have be after all they did to Jesus the king of kings Actualy they had called Him that before Hiis death why advertise it after His death They never wanted the truth from the very onset Hence Jesus calls them white wash walls hypocrites and foxies who lead people astray by hiding the truth These guys had forgotten that Jesus often told those He had helped not to tell anyone but the news still spread like wild fire in winter FACT: The things of the Lord can not be hidden!
