5712 entries for this category: Why did those who passed by mock Jesus? They mocked him because just by being on the cross he proved that he was not who he said he was. He kept on saying that he was the son of God and healed so many people yet he couldn't save himself. It proved that he wasn't the son of God because surely God couldn't let his son suffer like that. They did not fully understand the plan that God had.

What about Jesus` death impressed the Centurian so much that He realized Jesus was the Son of God? He realized that Jesus was the Son of God because of the earthquake and the veil of the temple which was torn from top to bottom.
