What did Judas gain by betraying Jesus?

I would say that he gained his sight or spiritual sight. He learnt and believed that Jesus was who he said he was and that he was innocent. This is shown in his remorse and acceptance that he had sinned. He regreted his actions and acknowledged that Jesus was indeed innocent. But it was too late and they ended up going forward and killing Jesus. In the end he was in more problems than he was before he betrayed Jesus. All he got from it was the realisation of his sin, sadness and death. As the Bible says, '' the wages of sin is death''. He sinned and his reward was granted to him whic was death.

What made Peter so afraid to be identified with Jesus? Why are many people today still afraid to identify with Jesus?

It was hard There was chaos Jesus was being beaten and did nothing about it If these guys had guts to do that to Jesus how much more him He feared for his life even today some fear because of persecutions In some intances people are afraid to be laughed at by those who embrace different religions Others because it makes them look old fashioned People have not come to realised the importance of Christ nor His role inn their lives hence the unnecessary fear They fear people instead of God

Absolutly nothing except for sorrow and misery. That is what happens when we move away from God
