Why did the high priest view it as blasphemy when Jesus acknowledged that he was the Christ, the Son of God?
THEY DIDN'T WHANT JESUS TO BE THE SON OFF GOD BECAUSE THEN THEIR OWN LITTLE KINGDOM SHALL FALL A PART.

Brief Life Summaries - JESUS
Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, given to us through love for mankind by our Heavenly father. He came to show us that as we live on the earth we should show mercy, kindness and much more love to those close to us and far away. he came to this earth to restore the relationship which was lost by mankind with God. he did wonders , miracles and preached the word to prove His significance and the authority someone can have if connected to God. after His death he ressurected to show that he has power over death and much more thre is life after death. he had many followers after his acsention and this has been increasing and it is still increasing in numbers... hence christians (followers of christ)

Define "Compassion"?
Compassion is the feeling of pity that Jesus feels when those he loves are experiencing pain or suffering.  For example, the multitudes that had gathered to here him preach were hungry and Jesus felt pity for them that they should leave without being fed.  He also felt pity for the two blind men whom he healed, the leper whom he later cleansed, the son whom he raised from the dead including Lazarus whom he later again raised from the grave.  In all these cases, they show us Jesus compassion was great and practising Christians that is what  we should be able to adopt and practise.
