Why was the woman`s act so pleasing to Jesus? She was doing it as an act of faith and love for Jesus. He told people about his death and she believed him. She was also showing that she believes that Jesus is who he said he was and was sent by his father to die for us. Even though the oil wasn't valuable enough to prepare the king for a buriul she still didn't care and as an act of faith and love she used the expensive oil to anoint him. Jesus understood this and knew that this was part of God's will and she was following it. This pleased him very much.
