We lead others to God and help them get a better picture of God and his kingdom. When we are hypocrites we give the wrong picture of God and his kingdom thus leading people astray. This is very offensive to Jesus because you are misrepresenting him and leading his sheep away from him instead of following his example and leading people to him.

Why is religious hypocrisy so offensive to Jesus? THEY MADE THEIR OWN LAWS AND DIDN'T STAY WITH THE LAWS THAT GOD GAVE THEM IN THE DESERT. JESUS SHOWED THEM THAT THEY ARE WRONG THATS WAY THEY WERE AGAINST JESUS.
