What made Jesus` teaching so attactive to tax collectors and prostitutes? His teachings offered them redemption. They felt like outcast and that no one would ever accept them for the had done so much wrong. The had lost hope. When Jesus came along he offered them a choice and a new route to follow. He showed them that regardless of what they had done there was someone who loved them and wanted to forgive them and was willing to die for them. After all the lost hope this gave them a season to believe again. He was offering them life instead of the death they thought they deserved.
