This was to show us that he is our provider and we can always go to him and ask him for anything. He does not need anything from us but its us who need him for assistance.. So instead of getting from another source he get from a fish to show that he is there to serve us..

The love of Jesus It's amazing how Jesus feels for the down trodden and those in desperately needy situations. He acts spotaniously. immediately on their behalf without being asked. He feels the pain of His people deep within Him and spotaniously helps out. What a wonderful king we have in Him! One who identifies with the suffering of His people. He felt the hunger of the multitudes and the tears of the widow. Those who come crying He takes time to listen and helps out.
