Because they didn't understand the commandment and they could not tell what was wrong from bad because of their traditional beliefs

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

In the bible it says that without the sheding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.. Jesus shed blood through all the physical pain.. God loved his son every much and seeing him go through all the pain really hurt God.. For Jesus he was in alot of emotional pain when his father turned away from him because of all the sin on him.. Jesus had to take the sins on himself for us to be forgiven so because of his love for us he was willing to go through alot of emotional pain..

What lesson do you think Jesus was teaching His disciples when He fed the multitude with five loaves and two fish?

He was showing them that He can do greater things than they can imagine because the disciples didn't see it possible to feed the multitude with such little things, he was trying to make them see that He is the owner of the universe and everything is possible with him.
