What does Jesus mean that "Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled and whoever humbles himself will be exalted"?

In God's Kingdom,hummility is very important. This is so because we are saved by the grace of God in order that we should not bost of our works ' Ephesians 10 Vs 8-10". When someone puts himsel/herself up , God will pull him/her down like what He did to Satan in heaven who wanted to be like God. However, when we share the love of God and remain humble in obedient to the word of God, God will uplift us for there is nothing impossible with Him "Mark 10 Vs 27". Happy are those who humble themselves before God because they will be blessed. My prayer is that all of us should humble and be obedient to the will of God so that God uplift us. Amen!

How does Jesus want to care for the people of Jerusalem (Israel), and how do they respond?

Jesus wanted to care for the Israelites by dying right inside Jerusalem in order to fulfil the old testatament prophets with the intetion to gather together all all the Israelites under His control. It seems that the people of Jerusalem refused and their house was left in desolate. From the begining, God loved the Jews but the sins of the people of Jerusalem ended them in exiel in Babilonia, however, Jesus is gathering them together following God's promise of the sufering servant who will bring justice to the Jews the Samaritans the eunuchs and bind them together following His death. Jesus is caring for all and truly "blessed is the one who comes in the name of the LORD". Amen!

Jesus answers that to be saved, it is not enough for the person to know the Lord, rather the Lord needs to know the person. What does this mean?

The person need to strive in the suffering and offer his/her body as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable to God. "Romans 12 Vs 1. Jesus here is talking to the (beleivers) Christians that they should hold on their faith in order not to lose their "first possition" because if they backslide they will be put in the last possition as they will be crusfying Jesus for the second time "Hebrew 4 " . Therefore, let us hold on our faith until when Jesus will come. Amen!
