Why is it signficant that Jesus fulfilled what was predicted hundreds of years before? Note: Mark refers to the old Scriptures from the Prophet Isaiah (chapter 53) "He poured out his soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And
In Genesis 1 Vs 26-27, God created man out of love and gave man dominion to rule over all things. In Chapter 3 of Genesis , man sined against God and separation arose. God loved the Jewish people and when they were in captivity in Babylonia, God through the Prophet Isiah promised the servant who will surfer and bring about justice and light to the world. The death of our lord Jesus is vital because Jesus is the light to all nations and even the suffering and persecutions is a good testmony to us taday. In addition Jesus was trully numbered with the transgressors and bore the sins for many. In Jesus , there is life in its fulness. John 10 Vs 10. Amen!!!!

What was Jesus feeling and thinking while he was mocked and humiliated in front of others? Recall Jesus` own teachings (Matt 5:11), "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
Jesus felt very happy and was not thinking of revenge because he knew that His death is a blessing to all mankind. With the lies and persecution brought to Him, Jesus was thinking that His followers will undergo the same persecutions but the end result is the reward is being kept in heaven for those who persevere. Jesus did not care what the soldiers were doing because as the prophet, He knew that the old prophets were also persecuted. Lastly, Jesus was not ashamed of the people in front of Him because His suffering is ramsom for many.

The Roman governor, Pilate, found that Jesus had done nothing wrong. Yet, he authorized Jesus` crucifixion to please the crowd. Can you explain why people put popularity above doing what is right?
Pilate was the Roman governor and was amazed that the fellow Jews were giving false testmonies against Jesus ( who is also a Jew). For fear of the multitude,Pilate thought of asking multitude to choose who to release between Barabbass and Jesus. Pilate knew that Jesus was innocent. However, people chose the realease of Barabbas rather than Jesus. Pilate became afraid of his possition as the governor and handed over Jesus to secure his possition. Like Pilate, people put popularity above what is right in order to please others not knowing that they are sining against God. To God is glory for this was done to fulfill the old Testament prophency. Amen.
