Why does Jesus consider this woman`s desire to please Jesus more important than giving to the poor?

The woman did what pleased Jesus because Jesus is the annointed man of God( Isiah 61). The woman did not waste her time even though other people thought that she was wasting her time. She did the good job for Jesus as she puts Jesus at her heart always. By working for Jesus, she also assisted the poor since she puts Jesus first in her heart (Mathew 6 Vs 33). As she did this, she was preparing the body of Christ for the burial. Whenever the good news is preached, what the woman did should be remembered. Let us avoid what Judas did by betraying Jesus in order to have worthles money. When we do the work of the lord, we are almost ready to help the poor. The desire of our hearts should be to put Jesus in our hearts and work for Him. Amen!!!!!!

Why does Jesus encourage focusing on the daily task at hand and discourage predicting the future?

Jesus encourages focusing on the daily task because no one knows the day and the hour when the Lord will come. Focusing on the future will mean nothing and waste of time because we are together but we do not know what the future will bring to us , therefore, we should pray always and hold on Jesus who is in our hearts. What we can do as believers is that, we should be watchfull, keep alert and pray always to God who gives peace. In this case, we should not lose heart. Jesus should find as busy witnessing to others the good news of Christ as commanded in the book of Mathew 28 Vs 19-20. We should not sleep(live in sins) but rather we should repent because the hour and the day of the Lord is not known. Amen!!!!

Jesus claimed that after a future period of destruction and distress, he (The Son of Man) will come back to earth with great power and glory. What did Jesus say he would do at that time?

Jesus said that He will come with great power and groly. He will sent out His angels to gather together the chosen believers from the four winds , from the ends of the earth to the ends of the sky. All the signs of the end of the age should happen before the assession of the son of man. Jesus noted that this generation will not pass away until all the signs happen. Brothers & Sisters, let us endure in order to enter into the kingdom of God. The words of Jesus will never pass away.
