What actions of the scribes did Jesus warn against? Do we have people who act like this now? The scribes were warned of the following: that they should not walk in long robes (not do evil), that they should be humble not force people to greet them in the market places, that they should not uplift themselves in the choosing of seats which might be for someone important than them and that prayer should not be useless and long with no meaning but pray according to the will of God. Such people will receive condemnation from God. Even nowadays such people are there who does not believe in Jesus. Brothers and Sisters, let us trust in the lord and we shall never be ashamed ( Romans 10 Vs 11). Amen!!!!!

What actions of the scribes did Jesus warn against? Do we have people who act like this now? Jesus warned the scribes for their evil fixed in their hearts. He also warned against show off greetings in the market places that greetings should be humbly done. The scribes were also warned in the choosing of the best seat that they should not uplift themselves in the choice of seats which might have beeb kept aside for someone important than them. Jesus warned them on prayer that they should pray according to the will of God otherwise, God will condemn them. We still have the people who act in such a way today and these people are those who does not believe in Jesus. Jesus condemns the unblieving heart. Therefore , let us believe in Jesus so that we are not condemned to death. Amen!!!!
