Jesus defines a great person as one who serves others. What did Jesus mean when he said he "did not come to be served, but to serve and give his life as a ransom for many."?

Truly, Jesus defined a great person as one who serves others in such a way that as the follwers of Jesus who has taken up the cross, we need to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice and our prayer Should be made to all. Romans 12 Vs 1 also 1 Timothy 2 Vs 1-2. As belivers , our characteristics should protray the works of Jesus. Indeed Jesus came as a surfering servant not to be served but to serve all. Therefore we should be the servants of all. Brother and Sisters this lesson has reminded me of the great commission Jesus left to His followers (Mathew 28 Vs 19-20. May God bless you as you are serving all.

Jesus knew he would be killed in Jerusalem, and still he led the way. What characteristics does Jesus demonstrate here?

Jesus was not afraid of His death, He demonstrated love upon the whole whorld in order to deliver mankind from evil. He took time to notify His followers what will happen to Him. Jesus was sinless but was condemed to death in order to fulfill the old Testament Prophency. Even though Jesus was mocked, spited, scouraged and killed, He rose again on the third day. Jesus demonstrated that He has power over death. In Jesus, there is life. Amen!!!!

Jesus felt love for this rich man, and guided him to focus on treasures in heaven instead of treasures on earth. What is heavenly treasure?

Heavenly treasure is living a reghteous life which pleases God. When someone is rich, there is need for him/her to assist those who are poor. When believers follow Jesus and take up the cross thus heavenly treasure. Believing , trusting and accepting Jesus with our possession provides us with heavenly treasure. With Jesus , there is nothing impossible threfore, heavenly treasure is when someon is ready to face persucution for Jesus sake and even lose His/Her belongs and follow Jesus. With God, there is nothing impossible. May God bless you as you are following His commandments to take up His cross. Amen!
