Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? for our complete salvation and for the love he has for us and because he knew that we cannot save ourself and this is why he gave his only begotten son to suffer for us

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? Jesus had to carry all the evils of mankind on Him. He had to feel the pain physically andemotionally because it is only throught that He could clean mankind from our sins and for mankind to see Him suffering will make mankind turn to God. God separated Himself from Jesus because, Jesus had to carry all evils from mankind. He only had to do this for us mankind to be saved and to come closer to our Father who are in heaven. What a blessing!
