Out of her poverty she gave all that she had to live on, because she knew that God would provide for her needs. She had the correct motivation and attitude.

How did Jesus "equip" his disciples for powerful work by taking away their material possessions?

He equip them with authority over unclean spirits to cast out demons and anoint many with oil who were sick and heal them. They were also preaching the gospel so that people can repent.
