Why did Jesus use the greeting. "Peace be to you"? Was there special signiificance in this greeting? He knew they were afraid and scared so he had to make them relax.He had to calm them because of his sudden appearance among them as it was the first time they saw him after his death.He showed them that they was not seeing a ghost by showing his hands and side and that he is Alive and is Risen
