Why did Jesus cry out, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?" Note: This is a direct quote from the Jewish Scripture, Psalm 22:1. BECAUSE JESUS KNEW THAT GOD WAS NOT WITH HIM AT THAT MOMENT. THEN JESUS DIED AND GO DOWN IN TO HELL.

"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?) When God sent his Son (Jesus) to this earth it was for a purpose. To save the world from sin and also offering salvation to one an all. In order for the world to be be saved the persecution and the cruification of Jesus had to take place. Jesus death had to come to pass for us to be saved.
