3071 entries for this category: Because they thought he was failing to help himself and that was funny to them seeing that he was able to help other people during his ministry and now he couldnot deliever himself The soldiers were of a heathen culture. They didnt believe in the one true God but many Gods. They only saw Jesus as an everyday Jew and not as the Son of the one and only true God. Since it came to light that He was King of the Jews and the Roman soldiers didnt see Him as a King or of anything special so they mocked Him. Also because of the face that He was a Jew also Why did the soldiers mock Jesus?

Why did those who passed by mock Jesus? They just didnt believe...They did not accept He was the Messiah and since He chose to stay on the cross, they felt their belief to be justified unaware that it was HIS choice to stay on the cross.
