What was Jesus trying to teach people when He deliberately violated the Sabbath in order to heal people?

To not care more about rituals than love, compassion and mercy. Yes the Sabbath (Saturday) needs to be kept holy and the miracles Jesus performed kept holy because it was the will of the Father in heaven. These priests of Jesus time cared more about rituals than God's love and mercy. I believe Jesus also wanted to find out what was in the hearts of these men. They chastise Jesus for healing but if one of their sheep had fallen those hypocrites probably would have lifted a finger to help the sheep. The Sabbath is about not laboring and keeping it holy through praise, worship, service, fellowshipping or any other activity fit for God's will. Jesus wasnt doing any work at all. He was simply sharing God's love and mercy

JESUS TEACH THE PEOPLE THAT LAWS ARE NOT INPORTANT BUT YOUR WAY OF BELIVE AND THE WAY YOU DO THINGS. THE WAY OF JESUS AND TPO LOVE HIM IS INPORTENED.

Why does the Father hide things from the wise and intelligent and reveal them to infants?

The infants are more in need of spiritual food for spiritual growth. Also a child like mind is easier to conform to how things are meant to be done especially according to God's will. The wise and understanding who do not follow God's will, more than likely believe they already know what they need to know and therefore dont need to be taught anything
