you must give yourself God and trust him with your life,like you trust your earthly parents.No matter how many sins you have,if you ask God for forgiveness,He immediately forgive all your sins and take in His loving and caring arms.No matter how much we have hurt Him,God always forgive us and care for us.

Why was it important for Jesus to go through a time of temptation?

Jesus needed to experience and make an example to us that we can over come temptations in whatever form: in hunger, self seeking and pride, as well as greed.The grace we need to go through temptations are available form the one, Jesus, who has gone through similar temptations.
