Why were fulfillment of prophecies important?

to show to all believers and non-believers that the Bible (God's Word) is all the truth that we need to know and live by. This was meant to confirm the believer's belief and to change the mind of the non-believers. God loves all His children so the prophecies being fulfilled this gives creedence to the Scriptures to show the world He is the only one true Almighty God who loves us as He sacrificed His Son so that we may be be saved

Does this give you confidence in his words and promises, knowing he and others had predicted his death and resurrection?

Yes the events that took place should give someone confidence in his words and promises as they do me but I am a true believer anyway so I dont need evidence as many in today's society need. Today's world is too much about proof and evidence when faith alone gives one the power for raw belief

How might you have felt seeing Jesus after knowing he had died?

I would have been excited and my heart filled with joy! Also I would have dropped to my knees and given thanks and praise to Almighty God
