Because if you love God with all your soul, heart, strength and mind, you become much closer to him and if you love your neighbor as you love yourself then you will never do any evil against them, therefore you become closer to God, you become more like God. Amen!!! Why does Jesus encourage focusing on the daily task at hand and discourage predicting the future? Because he has realised we are wasting our time predicting about something we can never know of, for it only brings about worries and as a result, we loose focus and concetration on making each day a better day lived. Amen!!!

Why does Jesus place commandments to actively love above commandments to refrain from evil (thou shall notâ€Â¦)? Note: Jesus answered with two quotations from the Jewish law about loving God (Deuteronomy 6:4), and about loving neighbors (Leviticus 19:18).
