Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

The rationale Jesus came to this world was to cleanse us from sin. This indirectly became his obligation.

As things came to this stand, Jesus had to do whatever it takes to save us, that is, to complete his task of saving mankind from sin no matter what.

This however comes as an illusration to us that we should do whatever it takes to serve our God just like Jesus accepted being seperated from his own father in an attempt to save us.

"Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?"

He accomplished all these but he more than anything demonstrated Gods Love.

He managed healing the sick, spreading the word of God, give life to the dead and a lot more but his death did more than to prove Gods love for us.

God sent his ÓNLY son to come and die for us in this world. He could have made us pay for our own sins but he sent his only son to die for us. He even abandoned him in the cross because he had sent him to solely die in order for us to be saved.

All the other purposes are significant in their own weight but the fact that God sent his ONLY son to die for the sinners of this earth does more than asertaining Gods love for us.

Being kind to people, especially those that are disadvantaged, and the willingness to help them in the diverse complexities they meet along the road.
