Why did Jesus allow the little children to come? the disciples didnt want the children to come to Jesus because they felt that He was too great to be bothered with little insignificant people like children-forgetting that Jesus came to serve great and small. Jesus allowed the children to come to demostrate that before His eyes, we are all equal.

Why did Jesus? penalty for sin need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? Jesus` penalty for sin had to include physical and emotional pain and not just spiritual separation from God because Jesus was at that time in a physical body-He was a man and all man know how to recognize and relate to the physical suffering of others. The Bible had already chronicled His path to the cross, but without the physical manifestation of that suffering, maybe man would not be able to appreciate to the same extent the magnitude of God`s love demonstrated by the suffering and ultimate death of His only begotten son.

Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?) Jesus was only keeping to the script that was written long before His own birth. It was necessary for Him to draw attention to what was to come so that the believers would grow strong in their faith with each predicted thing happening.
