Why did the Pharisees call Jesus a "deceiver"? According to them, nothing of what Jesus said was true. He claimed that he was the son of God and healed and save so many people and yet when it came to him he was unable to save himself. They also thought that if he was really that so of God how could his father have allowed him to go through all the pain and die or be killed in such a manner. So because of all this they believed that he wasn't who he said he was but just a deceiver. And was going to pull off another scam if not watched closely.

What do you think might have led Joseph of Arimathaea to be a disciple of Jesus? He was a firm believe in God and his kingdom. So when Jesus came he listened to his teaching and believed that Jesus was the son of God here to bring the kingdom of God to earth and if not he was definatly a prophet. All this led him to become a disciple of Jesus. And he also wanted to learn more. This was all part of God's plan.
