How can one telll whether at the judgement he/she will be a sheep or a goat? By the way we live our lives here on earth. We must love God with all our minds, body and strength and love others as we love ourselves and treat them the way we would treat Jesus. We must live our lives in the direction that the Holy Spirit directs us because that we be the way of God. We must also follow the guide that God has given us which is the Bible. If we do all these things and believe in Jesus we have the right to be called children of God. And if we are is children then we will be judged as sheep.
