Why do Jesus`s enemies keep demanding a sign? Why doesn`t Jesus do a miracle for them? This was because they did not have faith in him and did not believe that truely he was sent by God. So if he showed them a miracle that would help them believe because only a man of God will be able to do so. They also wanted to compare him with the other prophets and see if he was God or just another prophet. But he did not do as they said because if he had the would have considered it as blasphemy and possible wanted to kill him before he had done his work so this might have been possibly him trying to keep his identity as the messiah a secret.
