How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him?" a "New" commandment?

Jesus invites us to be with him.. All we have to do is let him in.. To be intimate with someone you will have to know them inside out and to do this you have to love them and be very close to them.. When you get close to them you will find that you will start doing things differently and also obey them.. As you get more intimate you start finding it easier to obey them because of your love for them.. In the same way Jesus encourages us to invite him in and love him.. When we do this he also starts revealing himself to us as we also reveal ourselves to him.. When you are intimate with someone you get closer to them, in the same way if we obey him we also get closer to him.. But we need to have love to be able to be intimate and to obey..

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?

the closest things to my heart which concerns my future.. What he wants me to do for him with my life and how he would want me to do it.. I would also want to ask why that is his choice for me.. Another thing is if he wants me to let go of some people or still hold on and why..
