Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment?

in the original 10 commandments. You love for others was not included. And since jesus was talking to people who tried to follow the commandments and also made their own or added to the original commandments his main aim was to give them a new mindset. In which being a servant and loving others was more important than offering sacrifice. He was trying to teach them how to love each other and also love God. He was offering them this commandment as a new teaching, one they were not used to or heard. So in this way they will be able to serve God and live with each other in peace.

They make you me feel happy and appreciated. As human beings all we seek for is to be loved and accepted as we are. So when Jesus tell us how much he loves us and the reason he came down to earth. I feel closer to him and love him more because i know that nomatter who i am or what i have done there is still someone out there who thinks i am valuable enough to die for. And that all i need is to turn to him and he will make me whole. This gives me hope and a reason to live.

How does being forgiven increase ones love for God? Note: According to Jesus, God`s forgiveness is motivated by love.

If God didn't love us he would not have sent his one and only soon whom he loves to die so that our sins can be forgiven. You can't forgive without love so God's forgiveness for us is out of love... When you do something in life which according to you no one can accept you or forgive you after that. When you find someone who can overlook all you bad deeds and still love you. It creats a deeper feeling for you as well and you are also motivated to love the person who has accepted you as you are.. So yes forgiveness does help us appreciate God and love him more..
