Who jesus is...

It only took three years of his life to make a great impact and be the most famous person in the world.. He spent this time explaining how valuable we are to God and how much he loves us.. And when it was his time to die even though he already knew what was going to happen to him because of his love for us he still went forward and died an embarrassing death just for us to one day spend eternity with us. So to me Jesus is the true defination of love and how we ought to be.. We have to follow his example because if he himself being God obeyed God the father then we also have to obey him out of love.

What point is Jesus making when He states "eternal life" is knowing the Father and Jesus Christ?

Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the life no one goes to the Father except through him. Therefore you can only have eternal life when you know God,the true God and him whom he sent Jesus Christ
