How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him? a New commandment?

Loving Jesus and being intimate means you take an active interest in the life, beliefs and principles of the other.As such, being intimate with Jesus will open our lives to the love He offers and has for us.In so doing, we too will learn this love and apply it to others.In that way, we will be doing all that God commands us to as the whole gospel revolves around loving God and our fellow human beings. that would be the ultimate obedience of the new commandment.

How does being forgiven increase ones love for God? Note: According to Jesus, God`s forgiveness is motivated by love.

The classic case of what being forgiven can do would be the prodigal son`s story. After a filthy life, all the wrong doing and wondering away....one comes home to his father and is received with an embrace. That is an amazing way to show someone that their life is more valuable than all the things they have done wrong.After such forgiveness, one can only want to love back even more, become better and make God happy to look down and see His child walking on the right path.

According to Jesus, what does it mean to be loved by God?

To be loved by God means He is always interested in our welfare. He wants the best for us at any given time and offers us lessons, opportunities and guidance so as to lead us on the right path. To be loved by God means that He does not look at us on the basis of what we haven`t done and all the wrong that litters our life. Instead, He sees our potential and the best we can be, and seeks to give us help, an arm and a second chance to be our best and enjoy what He has planned for all of us-His beloved children.
