Sure Herod and Plate found nothing worth of a death penality for Jesus, but Jesus had to be sentenced to death- firstly for our sins and secondly to fulfil prophecy that that the sinless Jesus would die for the inquities of the world

Why do you think Jesus did not speak to Herod nor answer Pilate? Jesus knew that whatever answer he would give to Pilate and Herod could secure his release, and in anycase, the two would not believe him so ot was futile to answer their questions.

How does the statement: "The Guards Mock Jesus" make you feel? At first the statement brought disgust, but then one must feel pity for the guards as 'they know nothing". They did not even realise they were mocking God!!. How unfortunate.
