What was in Jesus` heart that made him weep as he looked down on Jerusalem? Jesus knew that Jerusalem was going to be invaded and the Temple comletely destroyed, yet it was the chosen city of God!. People in Jerusalum did not realise that they were staying in a chosen city and continued in sin. jesus also knew that jerusalem would be destroyed just before his second coming and felt pity for its inhabitants that did not realise how precious Jerusalem was to God.
