Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

If jesus had not suffered physical pain, then we would have not benefitted " through your stripes we are healed etc" The spiritual separation to me was inevitable. We are already separeted from God and for us to be reunited to God through Jesus, Jesus spirit also needed to be separeted from God

Not at all, Jesus was to fulfill the biblical prophence in a humble way. He had all the power in him to conquer the devil. He had God's wisdom which made him faithful and calm to fulfill the spiritual visional of his father to rescue the human race from the first sin. This is the reason why he never took any defensive actions. The cleasing of the temple was according to the jewish law, because it was not being used for the intended purposes, hence the argument with the cief priests.

What characteristics of a little child allow the child to better receive the Kingdom of God?

Little children are humble, have trust in their leaders, they do not keep grudges neither do they hate. they have the fruits of the holy spirit mentioned by Paul in Galatians 5. Those are the characteristics that allow us to receive the Kingdom of God.
