Define "Compassion"?
Compassion is the feeling of pity that Jesus feels when those he loves are experiencing pain or suffering.  For example, the multitudes that had gathered to here him preach were hungry and Jesus felt pity for them that they should leave without being fed.  He also felt pity for the two blind men whom he healed, the leper whom he later cleansed, the son whom he raised from the dead including Lazarus whom he later again raised from the grave.  In all these cases, they show us Jesus compassion was great and practising Christians that is what  we should be able to adopt and practise.

Why did the high priest view it as blasphemy when Jesus acknowledged that he was the Christ, the Son of God?
He believed in one God and he thought Jesus was taking God's place, he also didn't have the spirit of God to tell him the truth about His son.

Why do you think Peter was so emphatic and yet so wrong about denying Jesus?
Because he loved Jesus so much that he could not see anything taking his love for Him but he didn't know the great temptation that was ahead of him.
