The care given to Jesus by Joseph of Arimathae shows that he knew God and had been given the grace by the Lord. I feel elated that at least that someone felt for Jesus which is great. The veil was torn to signify 1. end of animal sacrifices for the atonment of sins. 2. to end the separation of man from God Why were fulfillment of prophecies important? "note: Jesus predicted his death and resurrection? "...saying that the Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again...". There are also many accounts in the old testament describing the death and resurrection of the Messiah hundreds to thousands of years before the event.
