Why does God appreciate prayers in secret more than public prayers? Because our God read our hearts and as we learnt about pride in the other lesson, He want us to talk to Him without being driven by pride.When we pour our hearts to Jesus secretly we are having an assurance that we only have our trust in Him alone.

Jesus came to earth to die for us. When he was still on earth he tried to shade light on the rightful way of worshiping by discouraging some practices. This created a rift between him and the pharises. He managed to outwit them. Some pharises repented, this demonstrates that nomatter how hard the heart is the word of God can pierce it. Our lives should be modelled on Jesus' life and teachings. Christ died for us to demonstrate his love for us.
