How does being forgiven increase ones love for God? Note: According to Jesus, God`s forgiveness is motivated by love.

Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does enlarge the future, when l am forgiven l feel happy and the happiness make me love God the most with a peace of mind knowing that my future is free from regrets, when you are forgiven you cannot regret but have hope for a better future.When our God forgives, His aim is to correct us and give us a right path to follow in love.

Yes he does for they were created in His image,In the book of Isiah chapter 58 He invited those who are thirsty to come to him and that shows how valuable the lowly are in His kingdom.

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

Jesus penalty needed physical and emotional pain so that us mortal being must really see the pains that are there in saving the nation. Jesus Christ suffered emotional pain because if Jesus has only suffered spiritual pain only people will not have known how much God loved them.
